The PSOE of Bolaños de Calatrava highlights the investments that, in the last legislature, have been made in the municipality by the Ciudad Real Provincial Council. More than million euros to improve parks, streets and crossings “which if they are not complemented with municipal investments and are not maintained, will be ruined,” indicates the General Secretary, Marta Chacón.
The Boláñego socialists consider that “good management is not being done” with the funds that the City Council receives from the Ciudad Real Provincial Council, especially those from the Works Plan. “The Provincial Council provides the money, but it is the City Council that decides what it is invested in. We believe that they are not doing it well,” explains Chacón.
One of the actions that he gives as an example is the arrangement of the streets in the urban center, with wide sidewalks flanked by pivots Phone Number Database and no parking space. “It is not practical for the people of Bolaños. They have not taken into account the idiosyncrasy of our town, one of the municipalities with the most vehicles per inhabitant. The arrangement of these streets is not favoring commerce either, as there is no place to park. It is a shame that, with the amount of money that the Provincial Council is allocating to Bolaños, they are not thinking about what the citizens need.”
At the same time, the PSOE denounces the general “lack of maintenance” in the streets, parks, crossings and municipal facilities of Bolaños de Calatrava. An “abandonment” that becomes more evident when contrasted with the interventions carried out with provincial money. Chacón says that “a clear example” of this contrast can be seen in the Moral Highway Crossing, almost 3 kilometers of road fixed last summer with 436,000 euros from the Ciudad Real Provincial Council.
“The road surface is in perfect condition, but as you enter the town, sidewalks, tree pits and garden areas are in poor condition. Nothing has been done by the City Council to improve the area, supporting the Provincial Council's investment,” laments the socialist.
Something similar happens with parks and green areas, such as the Garden of Olives, García Lorca or Rollo, remodeled and improved by the Provincial Council. Parks that accuse the “neglect and lack of maintenance” that the PSOE denounces.

If it had not been for the Provincial Council, in the last 12 years no work would have been possible to improve the town, because the City Council does not have the investment capacity. What we propose is that, since these works are being done, the important thing afterwards is to maintain them, so that we do not have to intervene again in a few years."
In addition to the repair of streets, communication routes and parks, provincial investments have also contributed to improving signage, municipal buildings and security. Also with the Digital Inclusion Points (PID) granted to the town, for which 3 monitors have been hired for two years, in order to train young people in robotics and break the digital divide with older people. The support of the Ciudad Real Provincial Council for de is evident. If this aid had been managed well, it would be even more so. We are tired of seeing how the PP Government team carries out improvised works, without any planning and without thinking about the interest of the citizens,” Chacón concludes.
